Howdy, everyone! So since I've been quite busy this past week, I haven't been paying much attention to my blog which saddens me to no end. I love talking to you guys about all of the things so I thought I would sit down today to write something fun and quick so I can still chat you all and get back to work on other projects currently taking up my free time. Don't get me wrong, I'me having fun with it but it's seriously not helping me read any books.
Also, be sure to check out the original post where I stole some of these questions from! Not to mention, Cait from Paper Fury has the cutest blog ever. Go check it out!
Before I ramble on too much too soon, (it WILL happen sooner or later) let's get this party started! Que the party tunes!!

1. Should’ve read, like, yesterday?
I feel like my TBR is something I should've read yesterday but if we're being specific here, I'd have to go with The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak because, you know, EVERYONE HAS READ IT!! I've even seen the movie a hundred times and I've still yet to read the thing! I bought the prettiest edition of it that I could fine and everything!

2. Would you write under a pseudonym?
I would so love to write under a pseudonym because I just think that's so cool! It's like a secret identity or something. I could be a ninja. A BOOK NINJA! That and it's like being undercover like a spy or superhero.

3. Would you marry your bookshelf?
YES.

4. Random bookish memory?
While shopping with my brother at Barnes & Noble:
*Sees a book I didn't know was a book but saw the movie*
Me: Look! It's a book!
Brother: *Looks shocked* Oh my gosh! NO WAY! It's a book!
Me: I meant I didn't know it was a book!
Brother: Hey, everyone! My sister found a book in a BOOKSTORE! She's a wizard!

5. Do you own bookish merchandise?
Just a couple of things . . .
(this is just what I have pictures of . . .)

6. NOTP?
It's not really an NOTP but I just didn't care about which dude Katniss ends up with in the series. I haven't actually read the last book yet (*hides in corner*) but I just don't really like Peeta or Gale. (- _-)

7. Why didn’t I love this?
That award goes to The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski. I still can't figure out why exactly I didn't like it when I really wanted to. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

8. Hardcover vs paperback?
I always go back and forth with this one. Hardcover looks super pretty on a bookshelf and gets the prettiest covers, but paperback is more practical when traveling and I like the flimsiness of it. Oh, the STRUGGLES!

9. Where do you get your books from?
ALL OF THE PLACES!! Actually, I get them from a variety of places such as the normal ones like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Half Price Books, but I also dig around the thrift shops, buy books from the library when there are new arrivals, and do book exchanges with my friends whenever we're cleaning out books and wanting new ones. Or steal them from my brother and hope he doesn't notice (he always does).

10. Highly anticipated upcoming release?
THESE ONES!

11. Least favourite genre?
I don't know what it is about urban fantasy but I just can't stand it!! I've read at least a hundred books in that genre and not one has ever left me with happy feelings about it. I swear I always either roll my eyes many times while reading, can't stand the characters, only want to finish reading the book so I can move on to something I'll actually enjoy, or just plainly never want to see it's face again. I have so many issues.

12. Series you quit on?
Vampire Academy and seemingly Throne Of Glass. And once again, I DON'T KNOW WHY!!

13. Wish it wasn’t a standalone?
Finally, an easy one! I seriously wish Nerve by Jeanne Ryan wasn't a standalone because I seriously want a sequel of some sort. I just loved that book so much! I need more!

14. Cringeable reads?
I can't really think about a book that made me cringe but I guess one that puts me off every time I hear the title is The Mortal Instruments series. I didn't like the first two books for many reasons but I don't think it's a bad series, it just wasn't for me. Although, I am so in love with the covers of the Infernal Devices series because they're so pretty!!

15. Do you ever like villains?
Not going to lie here, I LOVE a good villain! If I can both hate them and love them at the exact same time and cheer them on as well as wish for their evil plans to be destroyed, that's one good villain and I applaud the talented author! *cough* Queen Levana *cough*

16. Character you relate to?
I'd say I'm a mix of Cath from Fangirl and Lola from Lola and the Boy Next Door because I love all the books, love learning and fangirling, but I also love wearing weird clothes that fit my personality and so badly want teal blue hair! Too bad I don't have a cute boy living next door to me but that's besides the point here.

17. Haunting Read?
172 Hours On The Moon by Johan Harstad. THAT ENDING. I legit avoided anything about aliens and space for two weeks!

18. How strong is your self-control around books?
Buying: Eh, do I really want this book now or can I wait and order it for cheaper? Is it something I actually might read or should I get something I know I'll read? Maybe I should look around some more and look out for other options. Maybe I should look for that one book I was really excited about . . .
Library: GIVE ME ALL THE BOOKS!!

19. Book That Impacted You?
I already have an enitre post talking about the book that made me a reader and made me fall in love with books and reading which you can check out HERE!

20. Currently Reading?
Ouran High School Host Club Vol. 6 by Bisco Hatori and Red: The Untold Story by Angela M. Hudson.

So that's it! I hope you guys enjoyed this post at least a little! As for all of you, I want to know a random bookish fact about YOU!! Is it something quirky and weird or something really cool? Let me know so we can be weird together! Read on, bookworms! See you in the next chapter!
We need to invent something that is a semi paperback and hardcover and then it would be perfect! Although I'm not quite sure how that would turn out to look like. And I like that term - I do think my entire TBR is something I should have read yesterday as well!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh yes! It can be our own little perfect creation no matter how it turns out XD Anyhoo, yes, the TBR pile is something of an impossible task it seems. Hopefully one day it will be smaller than it already is for the both of us ;D
