If You Like This, Try This! Book Recommendations!

Today, I'm back with even more recommendations for you guys! Because who doesn't like recommendations, right? It's not a new thing to see certain trends in books take off for a season where everyone seems to read the exact same things in either the same genre, same currently trending trope, general new releases, etc. So, I thought I'd compile a list of books that I think you as a reader might enjoy if you've read any of these books and are looking for more or less of the same story whether it be a summer romance or something to give you nightmares. We all go through our moods for the books we feel like reading so I thought why not help make your TBR bigger?

If you have any recommendations for me to consider, please leave them in the comments! I always welcome new books to my shelf! Probably more than I need but who's counting?

   

Both of these books tell the story of a young girl escaping to a different city in a different country. One being Paris and the other being Korea. I adored both of these books since they're both swoony romances, fun to read, have the cutest covers, and in my personal opinion, are the perfect blend of self-discovery and falling in love while making new friends along the way. Did I mention they have cute covers?

These books both have to do with a world out of the ordinary and are both full of crazy experiences, creepy old photos, and are shrouded in mystery with many twists and turns along the way. I loved both of these books and both series are very addicting! If you want a haunting read that is perfect for a late night with all the lights on. try picking these up if you haven't already.

If you love aliens and sci-fi adventures, stop right here. Both books are about such subjects, one being more of an apocalyptic adventure and the other being more along the lines of mystery and horror with an ending that's sure to leave your jaw dropping. Just when you think you know what's going on, both books will offer some surprises and plot twists that you weren't expecting.

If you're like me and you love a good book about mental illnesses and rare sicknesses, then these books are ones I highly recommend! Both tell the story of a girl with an illness that I personally have not seen a lot of in YA books. One dealing with schizophrenia and the other dealing with a disease that makes the main character allergic to the world, literally. Both books are heartbreaking, eye-opening, and such interesting stories with some surprising revelations that will make you want to reread it as soon as you finish. At least, that's the effect they had on me.

Graphic Novel Recommendations!

Hello, everybody! Today I wanted to recommend some graphic novels to you all! I've written up some children's books and summer reading recommendations in the past but I've never actually recommended some graphic novels. I adore graphic novels since I love seeing stories come to life either cinematically or through awesome illustrations so I love finding a new one to pick up! 

I also really like reading manga but since I feel like I haven't read enough to recommend any to you guys, we'll stick with graphic novels for today.

I hope you guys end up finding some books that peak your interest and maybe check some of them out! Here are my personal recommendations!

Missing mothers...distant brothers...high school...new friends... It's a lot to deal with. But there's just one more thing. MAGGIE IS HAUNTED.

Summer Reading Recommendations!

Hello, my lovely readers! Today I thought it would be lots of fun to recommend some summer reads to you all in case anyone out there is looking for something new to read this summer season! Some of these recommendations you might have already read but hopefully, you find one that peaks your interest. So, without further ado, here are my recommendations!

As a side note, there are PLENTY of summer reads that I have yet to get around to reading so I'll be tackling my own summer reading list along with all of you. I might even reread some of my favorites in this list, we'll see what happens over the next few weeks.

Children's Books Recommendations!

So I mainly do a lot of YA reviews on this blog but ever since I posted my review for Sara Varon's Robot Dreams I've gotten a few questions asking what some of my favorite children's books are and which ones I recommend. I thought it'd be a fun thing to do and give you guys some children's book recommendations because let's be honest, all readers started with Amelia Bedelia and the Bobsy Twins, right? Or is that just me? Anyway, here are my top five favorites! Keep in mind that a couple of these have really awesome illustrations! 

Title: Drizzle

Author: Kathleen Van Cleve

Title: The Bad Beginning (A Series Of Unfortunate Events #1)

Author: Lemony Snicket

Synopsis: Dear Reader,

I'm sorry to say that the book you are holding in your hands is extremely unpleasant. It tells an unhappy tale about three very unlucky children. Even though they are charming and clever, the Baudelaire siblings lead lives filled with misery and woe. From the very first page of this book when the children are at the beach and receive terrible news, continuing on through the entire story, disaster lurks at their heels. One might say they are magnets for misfortune.

In this short book alone, the three youngsters encounter a greedy and repulsive villain, itchy clothing, a disastrous fire, a plot to steal their fortune, and cold porridge for breakfast.

It is my sad duty to write down these unpleasant tales, but there is nothing stopping you from putting this book down at once and reading something happy, if you prefer that sort of thing.
